Questions

SUPERSTAR REQUESTS...

What songs are the superstars requesting?

Today, in our make-believe club, we have all kinds of superstar acts walking up to the DJ booth to request another act's song be played. The only catch is...they have to make their request by using a title of one of their own songs. So all you have to do is guess what song each act is requesting.

For example, if Joan Jett wanted to hear a certain Led Zeppelin classic, she could sing "I Love Rock 'N' Roll" to the DJ. And of course, she'd be requesting the classic, "Rock and Roll".

Ah, but you should know by now that they all won't be as easy, or obvious, as that...hee hee hee! Good luck!

1) I guess the Drifters are getting into disco as they step up to the DJ booth and sing out "Save the Last Dance for Me" to let the DJ know their request.

2) The Chairmen of the Board say "Give Me Just a Little More Time", because leader General Johnson loves Boy George's style.

3) The Strangeloves sing their 1965 hit "I Want Candy" in requesting a group with a numerically-titled classic from the same year.

4) Marvin Gaye wails "Can I Get a Witness" in asking for this 1967 soul hit from George Clinton's group.

5) The Beatles step up and ask the dj to scratch-mix "Get Back" to let us know they want to hear this 1966 semi-instrumental soul classic.

6) Musical Youth sings out "Pass the Dutchie" so they could hear this 1970 #1 imported song.

7) Elvis Presley calls out "I Need Your Love Tonight" in requesting this 1977 hit by two ex-members from the age of "Aquarius".

8) Lightnin' Lou Christie is in the mood for a solo former Beatle hit, and so goes up to the DJ booth and says "I'm Gonna Make You Mine".

9) The Pipkins feel like hearing a REAL oldie but goodie novelty hit, and so say "Gimme Dat Ding".

10) '60s heart-throb Hermit Peter Noone decides he wants to hear some '70s heart-throbs and so goes up to the DJ booth and says, "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat".
